BibliaTab Notebook — Privacy Policy

BibliaTab Notebook is a note‑taking app. Most of what you create — notes, drawings, voice memos, to‑dos — lives on your own device. This policy explains the limited data we collect when you sign in or use cloud features, who processes it, and the control you have over it.

01 Who we are

BibliaTab Notebook ("the app", "we", "us") is an Android application published by BibliaTab ("the developer"). This policy covers the app and its optional cloud features. It does not cover third‑party services you choose to connect (such as your Google account), which are governed by their own privacy policies.

02 Information we collect

We collect only what a feature needs to work. We do not sell your data, and we do not show third‑party ads.

Account information	Email address, display name, and profile photo — when you create an account or sign in with Google.	To authenticate you and sync your profile across devices.

Purchase information	Your Pro subscription/purchase status (via Google Play Billing). We never see your card details.	To unlock and restore premium features you've bought.
Usage & diagnostics	Anonymous app‑usage and stability data via Google Firebase Analytics (e.g. feature usage, crashes, device type).	To fix bugs and improve the app.
On‑device security	Your app‑lock PIN (stored only as a salted hash) and biometric preference.	Never leaves your device. We cannot read your PIN.

Local‑first by default. If you never sign in or turn on cloud features, your notes stay on your device and are not transmitted to us or anyone else.

03 How we use your information

To provide core features — creating, editing, organizing, and searching your notes.
To authenticate you and keep your profile consistent across devices.
To sync and back up your content only when you enable those features.
To process and restore in‑app purchases through Google Play.
To diagnose crashes and understand which features are used, so we can improve the app.

We do not use your notes' content to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

04 Where your data is stored

On your device

Notes, media, drawings, and to‑dos are stored locally in the app's private storage. Your app‑lock PIN is stored only as a one‑way salted hash.

Cloud sync & account (optional)

If you sign in, your account profile is handled by Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore). If you enable sync, note data associated with your account may be stored in Firebase to keep devices in sync.

Backups to your own Google Drive (optional)

If you turn on Google Drive backup, the app writes backup files to your own Google Drive using access you grant. Those files live in your Drive, under your control — we do not keep a separate copy. You can also back up to a local folder you choose on your device.

05 Third‑party services

We rely on a small number of reputable providers to deliver these features. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Analytics) — accounts, optional sync, and anonymous diagnostics.
Google Play Billing — processes purchases; we receive only your entitlement status, never payment details.
Google Drive API — used only to store backups in your own Drive when you enable it.

06 Permissions we request

Android asks your consent before granting these. Each is used only for the stated feature, and most are optional:

Camera	Taking photos and recording video notes.
Microphone	Recording voice notes.
Photos & media	Attaching images/audio/video you pick, and saving exports.
Notifications	To‑do and reminder alerts you set.
Biometric / fingerprint	Unlocking the app lock, if you enable it. Handled by Android on‑device.
Internet & network	Sign‑in, sync, backup, and purchases.

07 Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information: sign‑in traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), your app‑lock PIN is stored only as a salted hash, and optional app lock with PIN or biometrics adds an on‑device barrier. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using industry‑standard safeguards.

08 Data retention & deletion

Trash: deleted notes stay in Trash so you can restore them, then are removed when you empty Trash.
On‑device data: uninstalling the app removes local notes and media from your device. Export or back up first if you want to keep them.
Account data: you can request deletion of your account and associated cloud data at any time (see Contact). We will delete it within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.
Drive backups: delete them yourself from your Google Drive whenever you wish.

09 Your rights & choices

Access & export: export your notes as PDF, Markdown, or JSON from Settings → Export.
Correct: edit your profile in the app at any time.
Delete: clear individual notes, empty Trash, or request full account deletion.
Opt out of cloud: simply don't sign in or don't enable sync/backup — the app works fully offline.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.

10 Children's privacy

BibliaTab Notebook is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, an in‑app notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
